Dana Nelson



Dr. Nelson is a graduate of UC Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine, and has been employed with USDA, Animal Plant Health Inspection Service-Veterinary Services since October 1992. In 1995, he was selected as a designated field epidemiologist for the National Bovine Brucellosis and Tuberculosis programs, and the Swine Health programs. From 1993 to 2008 in addition to epidemiology and program responsibilities, he also served as the relief veterinarian for APHIS at the Port of San Francisco and greater Bay Area.   He is currently stationed near the San Francisco Bay area in northern California with USDA, APHIS, VS, Surveillance Preparedness and Response Service (SPRS).
