Dr. Dana Nelson is a graduate of UC Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine, and has been employed with USDA’s Animal Plant Health Inspection Service-Veterinary Services since 1992. He was selected as a designated field epidemiologist for the National Bovine Brucellosis and Tuberculosis programs and the Swine Health programs, as well as served for over a decade as the relief veterinarian for APHIS in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. He currently works with USDA APHIS VS’s Surveillance Preparedness and Response Services team in the Bay Area.
