Chilling Out Your Patients
This session will discuss what, when, and how to incorporate the Chill Protocol into anesthetic practice. It will discuss sedation for office visits or shelter rounds and for behaviorally challenged dogs and cats presenting for anesthesia. The protocol will be discussed along with other options for sedation.

Animal Transport Programs – Attitudes and Impacts
This talk reviews multi-year research conducted by the Center for Shelter Dogs that examined attitudes of the shelter industry towards transport programs and the challenges and opportunities that these programs present. In addition, the talk will include information about over 5,000 dogs transported into the New England area and adopter satisfaction with their pets, many of whom came from transport programs.
