Regenerative Medicine – What’s the Buzz About?
This session is an overview of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) technology and its appropriate use with osteoarthritic patients. Other indications include regenerative medicine treatments for orthopedic conditions in the canine, tendon injuries, ligament injuries, open wounds, and burns. An understanding of the mechanisms of action of PRP and its appropriate applications and limitations are discussed.

This interactive session includes a discussion of how to choose appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic devices for each practice and how to integrate them into daily case management. Attendees will gain an appreciation for operating a therapy laser, a thermal imaging camera, and for processing PRP and stem cells.
