Train Your Team, Keep Your Team
When team members feel valued, they are more likely to stay at a practice. Offering training is a great way to demonstrate that you are invested in their future. When team members are trained together, the trust in their abilities increases. When veterinary team members do not trust each other, tasks simply take longer. Learning skills and techniques as a team can help develop an environment of trust in the practice.

A 2010 report in JAVMA stated that a veterinarian can earn an average of $93,000 of additional income from each credentialed veterinary technician on their staff. Today that number is even higher! Allowing technicians to perform all the tasks they have been trained for allows the veterinarian to see more patients. Adding technician appointments in the practice will empower the staff and can free the doctor to practice medicine.
