This is Dr. Jones; May I Speak with Rover?As of January 1, 2024, California become the sixth state in the nation to permit the Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship to be established virtually, expanding the scope of telemedicine in the practice of veterinary medicine. Although this change may expand accessibility to veterinary medical services, it presents challenges to veterinarians beyond those encountered by other medical practitioners. Regardless, the virtual practice of veterinarian medicine is here to stay. The objective of this session is to provide the practitioner with on overview of California law regarding telemedicine and recommended guideline for incorporating telemedicine into a veterinary practice. |
