Dr. Cynthia Delany, KPA-CTP, FFCP has practiced emergency and animal shelter medicine, animal shelter training, and shelter management for 25 years. As the Director of Online Learning for Maddie’s® Million Pet Challenge at the UC Davis Koret Shelter Medicine Program, Dr. Delany’s focus is on providing accessible and up-to-date training opportunities for professionals in the animal sheltering industry. Her main areas of focus include increasing access to both medical and behavioral care in animal shelters, animal shelter population management, improving efficiencies, quality of care and outcomes in shelters, professionalizing all roles in shelters to improve sustainability of careers in the industry, and maximizing operational efficiencies and positive outcomes in these limited resource environments.
