As part of our Wellness track, we are proud to screen The Dog, a powerful short film featuring actress Kate Walsh (Grey’s Anatomy) that follows a sick dog who mysteriously appears in the practice of an overworked veterinarian and tries to negotiate their own death. This impactful film explores the pressure, inner turmoil, burnout, and mental health struggles faced by many veterinary professionals. Following the screening will be a guided panel discussion led by the film’s director, Danielle Baynes, IndeVets’ Chief Veterinary Officer and social worker, and more.
