Jessica Sieferman

Jessica Sieferman was appointed as the California Veterinary Medical Board’s (CVMB) Executive Officer on July 2, 2018. Ms. Sieferman oversees all aspects of the CVMB, including examinations, licensure, and enforcement of the Veterinary Medicine Practice Act. She has nearly 20 years of experience working within the Department of Consumer Affairs, where she gained a comprehensive grasp of the legislative and regulatory processes. Ms. Sieferman has testified before the Legislature, worked closely with the California governor’s office regarding controversial issues, and has met with state and national regulatory leaders, including other state boards, various associations, the Federal Trade Commission, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, to discuss issues impacting regulatory boards, consumers, and patients.
