Dr. Brina Lopez is the One Health veterinarian specialist for the California Department of Food & Agriculture (CDFA), where she leads cross-sector initiatives addressing animal, human, and environmental health. As the former surveys and studies team lead for CDFA’s Antimicrobial Use & Stewardship Program, Dr. Lopez directed statewide antimicrobial resistance surveillance and reporting and managed data-driven research projects. Prior to her current role, Dr. Lopez spent over a decade in academia, with a focus on research, teaching, and clinical practice.
