About

Dr. Andrea Mikolon graduated from UC Davis with a DVM degree, Masters in Preventive Veterinary Medicine, and Ph.D. in Epidemiology. She previously worked for the National Import Export Services of the USDA and for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Dr. Mikolon currently serves as a veterinary epidemiologist on livestock disease outbreaks and represents the California State Veterinarian on binational committees and regionalization reviews. She is also the Mexico Liaison for Animal Health for the CDFA, Animal Health Branch, where she has worked for 14 years.
