Feline Airway Disease: Improving Your Skill Set in Recognition of the Disease in Challenging Cases
This session will review how to make a diagnosis of airway disease in cats and discuss both allergic and infectious etiologies and how they can differ radiologically. A thorough review of interpreting the airways in cats with case examples will be shown. Challenging cases will be discussed with comparisons to CT scans. |
9:25 AM-10:25 AM |
The Coughing Dog: Improving Skills in the Diagnosis of Airway Collapse
This session will provide examples of challenging cases of tracheal and bronchial collapse. Bronchial collapse can be challenging to recognize radiographically, but there are often clues on the radiographic that support a diagnosis. Fluoroscopy is more definitive, and comparative examples of radiography and dynamic airway studies will be shown. Current standards for diagnosing airway collapse will be discussed. |
11:00 AM–12:00 PM |
Radiography and CT of Feline Thoracic Neoplasia
This session will demonstrate various types of thoracic neoplasia in cats. The emphasis will be on recognizing neoplasia with radiography with some CT examples. This is a heavy case-based session that will help to improve skills in interpretation and diagnosing neoplasia in the thorax. |
1:50 PM-2:50 PM |
Diagnosing Gastrointestinal Obstruction in Dogs and Cats and Developing Next Steps from the Radiographic Findings
This case-based session will show approaches to assessing the gastrointestinal tract in vomiting animals. Dogs and cats with both vomiting and diarrhea will also be discussed. Challenging cases will be shown in both species with examples of how to develop next steps. Is it safe to wait? What is expected on fast and repeat radiographs in obstructive versus non-obstructive disease? These are some of the topics that will be covered. |
3:00 PM-4:00 PM |
Ultrasound of Feline Hepatobiliary Disease: Making a Diagnosis in the Icteric Cat
This session will review hepatobiliary disease with numerous case examples. Cases of primary hepatic disease will be reviewed and emphasis on what to look for in ultrasound scans will be demonstrated. Differentiating hepatic from extrahepatic biliary disease will be reviewed. How to trace the extrahepatic bile ducts will be shown.

Intestinal Ultrasound in the Dog and Cat: Comparison with Histology and Current Interpretive Standards
This session will be case-based and review the standard ultrasound scan of the small intestine. Cases will review how to recognize changes in thickness and wall layering that indicate different types of inflammatory and neoplastic diseases of the feline small intestine. Current standards from the literature will be discussed for feline low-grade GI lymphoma. |
