Dr. Renee Alsarraf graduated with her DVM degree from Michigan State University (MSU), where she created the university’s pet loss support group. She then completed a rotating internship and medical oncology residency in New York City at the Animal Medical Center. Dr. Alsarraf is a senior veterinarian at Animal Medical Center and serves on the MSU college of Veterinary Medicine Admissions Committee. Her memoir, Sit, Stay, Heal: What Dogs Can Teach Us About Living Well, celebrates the human-animal bond.
